@so I played a little Sapphire also. I do it
occasionally to see if I'm warming to the game over time. I'm not.
LOL. Geez, Grant. You ALWAYS have to test fire that game every few months
don't you? I know what you mean though. Sapphire IS a fun game but nowhere
near as good as GoT and many others. As an example, Yoshi's Story for the
N64 IS a fun game and a good 2D platformer but it's absolute crap compared
to the original Yoshi game on the SNES. But STILL, like you and Sapphire, I
always come back to Yoshi's Story every once in awhile because it's fun but
also because I WANT IT TO BE BETTER than what it is, but it's not. I still
haven't played Kirby 64. That's what happens when Soukyugurentai, Battle
Garegga and Radiant Silvergun take over your TV. Let's see, there's only 4
2D platformers on N64. Kirby 64, YS, Goemon's Great Adventure, and Yoshi's
Story. Three of them are GRADE A titles (don't make me flame you before you
open your mouth and dis Mischief Makers) and one is not. I wonder which one
that is? Hmmmmmm. Also, one of my buddies played GoT for the first time last
Sunday. He loves 2D shooters too and had always read about GoT in EGM and
drooled over the pictures for years. He could never find someone with a
Turbo so he could play it and his eyes practically popped last month when he
found out I had it. Needless to say he was blown away by the game and even
got to level 5with no problem. I don't think he would have been *quite* as
blown away by Sapphire as he was with GoT. And no offense to the guy who
likes Sapphire. It is a fun shooter just not my fave.
@We have a guy over on Shmups who loves the hell out of
Task Force Harrier EX on Genesis, much to everyone's disbelief. That's
pretty bottom of the barrel.
LOL. Yup, Aurang. Where the heck has he been anyways? And where the heck are
my raizing DC ports. Grrrrrrrr.
