I got a Core Grafx with the original AC adapter and used it
a little before I even thought about the voltage difference. I'd
think it could have an effect - since the voltage is 10% higher,
the output V might be higher, too.  Rather than risk it, I just bought an 
adapter from Radio Shack, that way I knew what
voltage/current I was getting and could make sure that the pin
was the polarity it was supposed to be, too (not sure if that's
different in Japan).  The AV cables from my Duo do work with
the CG, though.
