If you are TRUELY desperate to get it working again,
You can buy gold plating solution from fingerhut or similar.
dip the board end in and it'll add a fresh layer of gold contact to the board.
I've seen this white converter, it's basically the same design as the black
units...
I wish I had picked it up...about 5 years ago...
