Hey, Dylan. I've avoided joining any groups for a long time, although I've
been a PC Engine collector for 8 or so years, only because of all of the
stupid fucking rules. As you know from Shmups, I tend to speak a little
freely from time to time...which tends to get a bit controversial and pushed
me into spats with other people. I layed into Shou-sama on Shmups over this
profiteering garbage...and a few other people chimed in, including Paul who I
gave the URL to, and we ended up with a long post. Couldn't have done that
over on the Turbo List or I would've gotten booted. Paul's the one who told
me about the Shrine because he said I could speak my mind and not fear
getting fucked by some overbearing webmaster. I've minded my p's and q's in
every post to the List, but that just means I've posted lame shit. I
digress, but to get back on track, I read every rule when joining the Turbo
List...and shit like George posted should've punted him. However, since this
has not happened, it just means that bt is hypocritical. Guess he's just
paying favorites...maybe he had some stake in the sale of the game himself.
Who knows. I think it just makes it painfully obvious that the Turbo List
isn't the end all place for Turbo fans to group...there are better avenues
out there, with a hell of a lot more integrity. I've been courtesied on all
of the mails that Paul sent to the List members, so I've read their
replies...some of them are real jerks. I don't think what Paul is doing is
wrong...I explained the whole situation to Akira, the Shmups webmaster, on
ICQ last night, because he only saw a portion of what was going on and didn't
know the entire story. Too bad there are too many elitist assholes out
there, or perhaps with some effort, the Turbo List could either be destroyed
or forced into change. From what I hear from all of you, I probably should
place him on my "seething asshole" list, which currently contains just one
name...a certain smug videogame publisher who honestly needs to shut his fat
ass up. End rant.
