NEC-HE-shrine Shooters, the future of games, and snow

From Paul England <xxxxxx@hpo.net>

I too must agree, that there aren't enough 2D games coming out. The bad
thing is, almost all 2D games these days are shooters. I don't want to bad
mouth shooters, but I miss good platformers. Yeah, Capcom just put out
Rockman X5 on the PSX -(but I'd rather just get a mod and copy the damn
thing ;) ) But anyways, there are a few goodies on the DC you might want to
look into. I highly recommend El Dorado Gate for anyone that likes classic
RPG's -- we'll likely never see one in this format again ever! Quite a nice
one for us long-term gamers.

I would also like to see DreamSnes put out SNES quality, so some of those
old games won't be forgotten. There are some good games on the SFC, but I
just don't see myself buying one anytime soon - no space. :)

At any rate, I've not played much of my Turbo lately (except for a 2 hour
game of Spriggan a couple of weeks ago) as I've been focusing on my Saturn
and DC - both great machines, with LOADS of great games. The Saturn,
especially, with several that were just unheard of in the states. The game
of the moment I would have to say is "Time Bokan: Bokan to Ippatsu". I'll
include a scan. Grant had me hunt this game down for him, and man, is it
wicked! Fun little shooting game. Also, Keio Yuugekitai & Princess Crown
are beautiful as well, although I have no clue on how to save Princess
Crown - it always deletes my data.

Anyways, I'm done rambling. As everyone can see, I've been inside to long.
Massive snow storm, the flu, AND had to work today (Saturday). Sucks ass.
Until next time kids...

Paul
