The Dragon Slayer series consists of 9 games:
Dragon Slayer I-IV (I was remade on Saturn, IV was ported to Famicom)
Dragon Slayer V = Sorcerian
Dragon Slayer VI = The Legend of Heroes
Dragon Slayer VII = The Legend of Heroes II
Dragon Slayer VIII = The Legend of Xanadu
Dragon Slayer IX = The Legend of Xanadu II
So, as you can see above, The Legend of Heroes I-II is part of the DS
series while III-V are part of the new Gagharv trilogy:
The Legend of Heroes III: White Witch
The Legend of Heroes IV: Crimson Tears
The Legend of Heroes V: A Cagesong of the Ocean
Rhapsody of Zephyr is part of the Genesis series originating in Korea
and is the 3rd installment from 1998 but it is a sidestory. Falcom
licensed the game for Japan and produced new artwork for the Japanese
version released in 1999. The new DC version will include all of the
Falcom enhancements with new animated sequences and voice.
