I've heard something along the same line. According to the article I read, DC can be "scaled down" to just a few chips and then installed in other devices, such as DVD players and cable boxes. They also have plans to develop for other platforms, not consoles, but portables such as GameBoy, WonderSwan and NGPC (all of which, to some extent, they already have, or at least licenced). In addition to putting "Dreamcast technology" in other things, they also have the option of adding things to Dreamcast. It all comes down to how the DC was structured in the first place. After all, I also read some Sega people consider it to almost be alive, aside from the AI. It can "grow", adapt, become part of something greater. I think that's the true beauty of it.

Now if they would only do the same kind of thing with the Duo or PC-FX, that would be the icing on the cake.
