NEC-HE-shrine TurboDuo horror story...

I just had to tell you guys this one. I live in Illinois and we had
some pretty intense thunderstorms here a few weeks ago. It was
raining non-stop for like 2 days. Well I keep my TurboDuo system and
all the games in storage in the basement. Our basement floods about
2-5 inches at the most, but I keep the TurboDuo and everything stored
up high on a table. Well I went down the first morning after the
rain and there was about 2 feet of water down there! I looked for my
TurboDuo system and games and didn't see them on the table where I
last put them. To my horror the underbed box I store them in was
sitting on the seat of a Lazy boy recliner UNDER WATER!! I
yelled "GOD DAMMIT!!" grabbed the box and took the water filled
container upstairs. I emptied out the box on the lawn. Held the
TurboDuo unit upside down and water poured out of it. All the labels
on CD cases and manuals were ruined. I individually hand dried each
of the CD-ROMs and HuCards. I took apart the Duo and let it dry in
the sun. I let everything dry for a couple of weeks.

Well I just plugged in the TurboDuo and Military Madness and... IT
WORKS!! It still works! I can't believe it. Then I popped in my
Lords of Thunder CD and that worked too. Unbelievable!

The worst part of it was seeing my mint condition manuals destroyed.
MINT Dracula-X manual turned to pulp. :(

But at least everything still works!
