Yeah, I whole heartedly agree with you both! Asia is much more my
scene. I don't know what the heck happened over here in the US. We
lost something somewhere, I mean you can't find a shooter here over
someones house that has any brand of console to save your life, let
alone in an arcade. Believe me, if I could, I would relocate to Asia
in a heartbeat again, but I only have one semester left before I
graduate, and well, after that you may indeed see me in one of those
arcades in Seoul again after I move at there for good! God I miss it
over there! Bulgogi, Kimchee, an OB Beer, and then some good video
game time YEAHH!
>Come to japan -- it *STILL* is. WHere else on Earth can you go to an
Arcade,
and see 9 Virtua Fighter 4 machines, next to Ikaruga, next to
Batsugun, next to
Shineryu, then next to about 10 more classic shooters?
> I lived in Korea in the mid to late 90s...and it was. There was an
arcade down the street from me which had an entire floor dedicated to
shooters. Everything from Sengoku Blade to Gokujyo Parodius to
Soukyugurentai...and the original Sengoku Ace game. An interesting
point, in the corner of the top floor where the shooters were were
almost every Bubble Bobble game ever created, including the glorious
Bubble Symphony. The first floor was entirely fighters.
