No Groovemutt, there was never a release of this one for any console, but it
was indeed an arcade game in Japan! There was even a great big PC Kid
arcade cabinet that the machine was enclosed in, and according to an article
about this arcade machine in the ill fated Duo World magazine, there were
prizes for high scores given out to lucky players too! BTW if anyone knows
what issue that article was in please speak up! I would like to get a hold of that
particular article, scan it, and put it in the files for all to read, and see the
picture of the arcade cabinet. It was known as Ultimate Genjin in Japan, but I
have heard it referred to as Bonk Arcade. I wish the PS2 would make a
release of it for their console, as they have made quite a number of arcade
machine "conversion" releases. I would like to ultimately find one of these
arcade machines and ship one here to the US. Shou-sama told me that he
once saw one at an arcade game convention!
