I don't know Corbie. I'm just not buying that the Nomad truly has a better
screen than the TE's as you say. Everything I've read about the Nomad or
heard from other folks is that the Nomad does have a nice display and a
roomy screen but that it's definately not a TKO in the clearness category.
Most here would agree that if you were playing a SONIC game on the TE's
screen, there would be ZERO blur no matter how fast SONIC was running. Even
EGM commented in their Holiday '96 issue that the Nomad had a nice screen.
But when it came down to clearness, some of the EGM editors still found
themselves missing the TE's screen. I don't own a Nomad yet and have never
played one either. But, as a friendly TML challenge, I will buy a Nomad this
week or as soon as possible. I'll play R-TYPE and Air Zonk (which both have
large, detailed sprites on the screen at any given time) on my Turbo Express
and fire
up a SONIC game on the Nomad and play these games (and others too) and
compare them. Then I'll report back to the list : ) Just good old fashioned
TML fun. As for trouble reading those long Neutopia passwords, well that
might be a case where rigging one of those little custom screen magnifiers
might come in handy =)
