About the Nu-Kote machine

Well, I submitted a query form to InControl Systems (they came up on a
HotBot search for 'nukote kiosk') about the Nu-Kote kiosk which used the
TG-16. I wrote something like:

>>I am trying to contact the manufacturer of the Nu-Kote printer ribbon
locator kiosk which used an NEC TurboGrafx-16 as its main component. Please
send an e-mail with a brief yea or nay. Thank you.

And Mr. John Laninga's reply:

>>We did not develop the original device, that company went out of business
years ago. We did do all maintenance for it, as well as writing new
software.

>>We have a wide variety of products of similar nature. Please check out
our
web site at
http://www.incontrol-systems.com for more info. Any questions, please call
or email."

>>John Laninga

I was considering e-mailing him again, trying to dig for more information on
who manufactured the 'original device'. Unless, of course, he's referring
to the TurboGrafx-16 itself. I don't know... We'll see, I want to find
technical info on this kiosk.

Mr. David Shadoff expressed an interest in reverse-engineering the
technology used to provide control input through the expansion port. I
shall do my best to find all the info I can, as long as the list-ers express
an interest. Thanks to those who e-mailed their suggestions.
