I to have a story to tell about a beloved Turbo incident.
It was about eight years ago, when I was working as a
sales associate at a tire store and they had a sales promo
between all the various stores in selling different things.
Anyways, you were allowed to pick from a catalog the various
prizes depending upon how many points you had earned.
Low and behold to my suprise listed was then new Turbo
Express. Hell at the time I remember they went for like $299
at Toys-r-us. I was so excited when I finally received it.
I ran to the store and picked up a TV tuner, and a few games
for it. Well after several months of playing with it to much, my then
wife, who knew all to well that I loved this thing, decided during an
arguement to take a nice hammer to the screen of the beautiful Turbo
Express, while I was at work. Needless to say, I was a little
pissed. To make a long story short. I then ran to Toys-r-us and bought a new
one and charged it to her credit card. Now I had two. One that I let her
believe was still broken and the other I
kept hidden from her all these years. I still enjoy it just as much as
the first day I played it. But I wonder after all these years, what
she ever did with the broken one? We don't talk to each other
for various reasons. Just thank god she never got a hold of the
TV tuner.
