Everyone has their own tastes...

I can tell you that I never liked Bonk 1 & 2 [the soundtrack grates my
nerves immensely.] In fact, those Bonk games singlehandedly destroyed
my interest in the Turbo. Which only rekindled once the TurboDuo came
out and I had a chance to play "Gates of Thunder."... Granted, the
games have originality, but it never generated any kind of excitement
with me. [Lord knows why I gave it a rating of 6/10 on my turbolist (
http://www.wonder.ca/~sdesros/musicgame/turbolist.html [it's a little
outdated now though... I've got loads of other games to add.])... It
seems rather high in hind sight].

Bonk 3 was saved by it's 2 player-ness. The SCD version did have those
extra subgames and CD Soundtrack as well...

Now, I don't mind weird. I've got loads of weird games, and I did like
Air Zonk. I guess I just found the games to be... err... slow and
uneventful I guess. None of the humour in the game really got my
laughing. "Yoshimoto Comedy" on the other hand is a riot.

But quite frankly... There are SOOOO many better games on the turbo out
there that I wonder how so many people linger on Bonk. Right off the
top of my head: Bomberman (all incarnations), Motoroader, AnEarth
Fantasy Story, Art of Fighting, Fatal Fury, Street Fighter CE, Dracula
X, Blazing Lazers, Beyond Shadowgate, Dynastic Hero, Dungeon Explorer (1
& 2), Soldier Blade, Buster Brothers, Dentana TwinBee, Sapphire, Jackie
Chan: Action Kung Fu, Dynasty Warrior (forgot the original name),
Godzilla, XanaduII, Neutopia (1&2), Lords of Thunder, Gates of Thunder,
Magicoal, Military Madness, Order of the Griffon, Shockman/Shubibinman
(1 to 3), Somer Assault and Vasteel (1&2)...

Those are the ones I can think of from work. ;P
