I have looked long and hard for ANYTHING about the two DK games, with only
a little success
There is a sort of "walkthrough" (overview, really) text file for DK2 at
the TurboList website - http://joyce.eng.yale.edu/~bt/turbo/ - click
"Files", then find and click "dragon.knight.2"
This overview seems to take the position that you will have more fun
figuring out most of the game yourself (which was true for me), and limits
commentary to general hints and strategies, rather than exact specifics
I know no Japanese, but I managed to get through DK2 using the overview,
and a "brute force" approach - keep going till I got stuck, then go back
and visit all of the previous areas - tedious, but my characters had tons
of experience ;-)
The best I have found for DK3 is several similar (to each other)
walkthroughs for "Knights of Xentar", which appears to be a more-or-less
direct port of the Japanese DK3 to an English-language IBM-compatible PC
game - use (quoted) "dragon knight iii" or xentar on excite, yahoo, lycos,
etc. to find these
The Xentar walkthroughs do not explain the controls or menues (since the
game is in English, and they assume that you can read, plus they are
probably different on a PC keyboard, anyway) - they just tell you what
towns to go to in what order, and who to talk to when you get there, etc.
There is at least one place that you will need the DK3 walkthrough if you
don't know any Japanese - the nine staircases puzzle in the tower - the
solution is told to you (in Japanese, of course) by some townspeople, and
is also on the back of a signpost (in Japanese, again) - I think that you
would be hard-pressed to luck into the solution by trial and error
Hope this helps
Happy gaming

Subject: Strange question I know but
This may be considered a strange question for some people, but... does
anyone know if there were any codes released for the following games for
the
Pc-Engine?:
Dragon Knight 2 SCD
Dragon Knight 3 SCD
Far East of Eden: Kabuki Den SCD
Any info would help...
Also, I know a trick for Ys Bk 1 & 2 (No, it's not a password), here it is
for those who do not know about it (I've known this one for years):
Any time during the game go to the status screen, press Select (You should
hear a sound), now move from one area to another where the CD loads in
between. Suddenly you'll see the name of the area you're moving into.
This
is especially helpful in the 25 levels of Darm Tower or the Shrine in book
2. Don't want the text there any more? Do the same process (you'll hear a
different sound), to turn it off.
