Subject: How to order from Falcom FAQ and Catalog translation

Okay.. Here is my big undertaking for the week. I have written this FAQ to
allow people to purchase items directly from Falcom in Japan. I have done so
quite often, and have always received my items within 2 weeks.

The limited edition of Ys Eternal sold, and is not available new from me,
Falcom, or even most stores in Japan. The regular edition is still
available, however.

Well, Falcom no longer wants international orders to use the order form on
their web site to order, so my post long ago about how to order is no
longer valid.

Falcom has very basic English skills. Do not ask them about other forms of
payment, if they have any PC Engine or Saturn games (they're permanently
sold out), or anything like that. If you can't view their catalog on their
web site, feel free to ask me if they have any particular item for sale
(their web site *is* accurate, they stress that anything not on the web site
is sold out). They have 2 sites (one is mirrored; you can go to either, they
are identical):
www.falcom.com

Important: **please** do not make tough to fulfill request or try to get
exceptions (don't ask them to take a check, or what's in the limited edition
of Mona Mona, etc.). This is important so that they continue to sell to
people in America. If we (the turbolisters) become a hassle, they may decide
its not worth it.. I know I'll regret saying this later, but please ask me
any questions you have, not them. I am not affiliated with them in any way,
but I've purchased a lot from them, and also know about their products as a
fan.

To order, copy the form I have entered below and send it to
xxxxxx@falcom.com , **not** to me (I do *not* want to know your credit card
number (^^)).

Ordering multiples:
If you want more than one of an item, just add another bit saying, for
example "Quantity: 4, Total 2,718yen x 4 = 10,872yen."

Figuring shipping:
They figure in the shipping, which is probably around 10-15 dollars for just
one music CD or 25-35 dollars for a copy of Ys Eternal.

"How much is that in dollars?"
To figure the price in dollars, take the yen price an divide by 114. (just
an approximation. Accurate aas on January 21st.

I did not list any computer games other than Ys Eternal because most
Japanese games will not run on American windows. Ys Eternal will run, but
you will not be able to read the text, it will show up as white blocks. The
rest of the game plays fine (but I do *not* take any responsibility for it
working on your computer. I am not making a penny off this, and have no
connections to Falcom).

Just copy the lines containing the items you want to the place after "I
wouldlike to order these items" and fill in the blanks. Note "CD Dramas" are
not music. They are more like radio shows, with Japanese voice actors acting
out a play of sorts (obviously is not translated, and not recommended for
most people who don't know at least some Japanese. I'm not sure of some of
these are drama or not (items #9961-963 might be, even though "drama" is not
in their title). An image album contains music inspired by a game, but not
actually used in the game.

Popful Mail Paradise is a drama CD series. Falcom is permanently sold out of
volume 1.

Japanese telephone cards are not valid in America.

I have the Ys Bank coming, I should be able to say what it is when it comes.
Don't expect much for under $10..

If you don't know what it is, buy at your own risk!

After you send the order form, they will reply with an email containing this
message:

Thank you for an inquiry of Falcom mail order service.
The total price is as follows.
If you are ok, we think we would like to accept your order.
We will be looking forward to contacting from you again.
If you agree with me, plase reply me soon.

Assuming you agree you everything in the email (and remember, their English
is not their best skill), email a reply saying "I agree with that. I am
looking forward to receiving my order."

If you have any input or corrections, please let me know.
