makes some good points : )

hello,
i'm on hotmail, so, i can't post. there is something i didn't see
on the list and people should know so, if you'd like, you can post
this, otherwise, FYI...
a guy in japan who used to work for Hudson(he runs a tamagotchi
company or something) was offered an exclusive deal for mortal kombat
for the pc engine by whatever company made that game. it was because
that company(midway?) wanted to do a cd game and avoid cartridge
format. he felt that fighting games were a dime a dozen and that
gamers had grown tired of the genre. he also felt that the money
they wanted was impossible, hence, the pc engine never saw mortal
kombat...dumb!
another reason is HUDSON!! those idiots tied TTIs hands. much of
the game selection was their responsibility and they refused to
support the system in favor of nintendo. the same thing happenned
when those jerks at working designs turned their back on tti(who
helped victor ireland START HIS OPERATION) in favor of SEGA CD.
hudson, while still producing at tti, started releasong games for the
snes and game boy. because of hudson and working designs, games like
dungeon explorer ii, lords of thunder, bomberman, bonk, and more were
released on other systems...also, NEC only had an advertising budget
of $10 million for the DUO...doh!
