Re: Battle Of The Shooters

Ok, with me being one of the few resident Neo freaks on this list, I have to
step in here and say that this comment below is completely wrong and
off-base. :) I realize Dylan hasn't played the game and is just going on
what he's heard, but for the rest of you reading-Pulstar is HUGE pattern
memorization shooter, moreso in fact than any other shooter I've ever
played. It is extremely slow-paced and literally slows down quite often due
to the amount of sprites on-screen, but it is VERY difficult and requires a
great deal of memorization. It is just like R-Type but MUCH, MUCH harder.
The game is absolutely gorgeous, but it really does try your patience. FYI,
Blazing Star is great as well, but is a completely different type of
shooter. It's a fast-paced, pick up as many power-ups and shoot everything
in sight type shooter. It's 2-player and with unlimited continues, you just
blow right through the game in half an hour. Both games have unbelievable
bosses that will blow your mind. Sorry to go off on a rant there, just had
to set the record straight :) For those of you Turbo freaks that love
shooters (and I know there are plenty of you :)), you owe it to yourself to
play these games. They are classic shooters.

>thing actually if you like shooters like GoT AND R-TYPE).
