hehehe. i work at TRU, and i just thought i'd let everyone know, that's been
wondering about this. as far as the retail
level is aware, toys r us WILL still be receiving NGPCs (our warehouses are
currently empty of them), and according
to SNK, it should be soon. we're still actively getting the software in
weekly, so i would think that the systems should
be shipping soon as well. to back up this claim, SNK is shipping POP
(point-of-purchase) ad materials promoting
NGPCs, which i think they would only do if they had the product to sell.
and on a side note to Bill:
assuming that the TRU employee was being honest in telling you that they
hadn't had any NGPCs since before xmas,
you should consider that toys r us store to be lazy, and not up to
standards. all TRU warehouses have been shipped a
large amount of the systems since season, and any store that did not receive
its fair share of them simply DID NOT
order them (a great disservice/inconvenience to you -- and it also means
that they're not doing their part). not a big deal,
i just don't think that was very cool of them.
