Jinn first appeared (I believe) in the Capcom game Cyberbots.  From the
arcade game came Playstation and Saturn ports of the game, and then Jinn's
next appearance, as you mentioned, was in Marvel vs Capcom for the arcade,
Dreamcast, and Playstation.  His most recent appearance is in Marvel vs
Capcom 2 for the arcade and Dreamcast.
