Batman was not ported from the PC Engine to the TurboGrafx-16. This is most
probably because Sunsoft, the game's developer, was not a third-party on the
American side...and the character was licensed to them at the time, not NEC.
Lord knows there was no console which solely had the license, as games
appeared on both Famicom and Mega Drive also. Speaking of which the Sunsoft
Mega Drive Batman game appeared in Japan before it was ported to the
states...probably the same for the Sunsoft Famicom games also...because they
were developed in Japan, not America. Same thing when Spawn, an American
creation, appears on the Japanese DC before the US version. Anyway, Batman
PCE is not a great game by any stretch of the imagination...and it was best
left in Japan. It's like a really lame Pac-man sorta with little to collect.
