There are two reasons form the lack of Kisado converters.

First, the persons (not company) that makes them is extremely 
hard pressed for time at the moment.

Secondly, and ultimately more importantly, is that the supplies
for making the Kisados are running low, and short of someone shelling 
out $5000 for new HuCard connectors, there just won't be anymore.
Period. (note that the $5000 is JUST for new connectors, that
doesn't include th4e cost of otehr materials and the labor needed 
for assembly).

Turbo stuff is still in demand, heck there is even homebrew 
development going on right now (with several demos being released 
in the last 24 hours).

No, the Turbo isn't dead, but the hardware (for financial purposes)
just cannot be made anymore with a large investment, and although
the scene isn't dead, it's still niche so recovery of any substantial
investment would be difficult and time consuming.
