Hello everyone,
I'd love to hear any stories about losing or selling your collection and
then what inspired you to start over again:).
So, ok to start here's mine. IN 1995 I had a really big Turbo collection and
right before I moved to Ohio (from N.C.) for a year I let a person who lived
on my street borrow it. I had a bunch of awesome games, (which had survived
from my first tg16, to a tgCD and when there were no super system card's
left, to a Duo) and why I let this dorko borrow it and all of my games is
beyond me. So, anyway, needless to say, when I got back my turbo was long,
long gone along with all of my games. I was bummed, but there wasn't much I
could do about it. I kept one copy of Ys because I liked the music so much,
and now I'm really glad I did. So, when I decided to move out to California
(after Ohio) I brought Ys and my 486-33 laptop along with me:). About this
time I finally got an internet connection and stumbled onto the Magic Engine
Demo (pre CD-support). Needless to say it blew me away, especially once the
CD support had begun. Seeing Ys again (even though I had a 486 and no sound
card) brought me back to old times and my head nearly burst with nostalgia.
So, right after that I joined the turbo list to see if I could find myself a
copy of Ys 3 (my original plan was to get a duo, and Ys 1-4 and stop there),
and after being on there for a week a talking to all of the really awesome
people here I started my turbo collection over again. Now, I have about 50
games, an AC pro (which I never felt I could afford before), and a white
PCE+CDrom system. Man o man, am I happy about it, and I have a big THANK YOU
to send out to everyone on the list who has traded with me, and sold me
games at more than reasonable prices:). There's some really great people on
this list and I'm glad to have been able to meet you all. This place is
great!!!
Anyway, that's why I started becoming a turbo nut again, how about you guys?
Take Care,
Eagan Rackley
