Hellow, Turbo Lovers.
> So rather than waste money on a Memory Base 128, get a Ten no Koe

I don't think it's the best choice to use [Ten no Koe Bank] for saving your
"priceless" save datas .
Yes, [Ten no Koe Bank] was very useful because its easy operation system is
really good. I had used it for a long time and now I stock 2 [Ten no Koe Bank]
s.
But it uses a small battery (inside this small and thin card, wow!) .
It keeps working over 5 years...about 7 years maybe.
That's an advantage over Memory Base 128.
So almost all gamers hadn't have to mind about this battery till last year.
The point is that the battery is NOT rechargeable, and nor replaceable.
(That's too bad but good for saving its price...
Ten no Koe Bank was priced only 3880yen ,that was releaced in 1991.
Prease remember how the price of 8M*2 SIMM memory was in that day. )
If the battery is wasted , the data should be lost and this[Ten no Koe Bank]
won't re-works.
Recently, it is reported that few gamers in Japan lost their priceless datas.
They used the earliest version of [Ten no koe Bank] released in 1991.
[Ten no Koe Bank] does not save your save-datas permanently.
If you saved your datas on earliest version of [Ten no Koe Bank].
I advice it is not low risk to keep your savedata in old [Ten no Koe Bank].
The latest version maybe releaced in 1994 or 1995 or later.
Transplant your save data(s) is better way, I think.
>Plus there is a nifty trick if the forth box is empty to get some
>super saves from popular games out when it was released.
I add one message.
All "super saves" support only Japanese PC engine(Not Turbo),Hudson games .
If you find the data of [Y's 1&2], that's not for [Y's Book 1&2].
But for this point, if your game match these "super saves" ,
these datas support your gaming much well.
I hope if someone will mod [Ten no koe Bank] to long life version
or to latest EPROM which works without any battery.
If it were to be priced 3500 yen, most [PC engine lovers] would buy this item.
