OK on the issue of back ups... I highly doubt you would need back ups of
your video games. I would think that you would want a back up of a duo...
I have some old video games that date back to 1988 for the old NES... and
they never gave me a hint of trouble or the battery never died... and i
can't imagine what could happen to any of your duo games, as long as you
have a decent surge protector and don't touch the shiny side of the CD they
will be fine...
But in the case that you want to pursue this... You can use a writable CD
drive to burn yourself some copies of your games and play them on the pc
engine emulator(the magic engine i believe)This way you will protect your
system and your games.
