Kaze Kiri definitely shows how a developers can dial a system through years of
experience. The color and background animation (flames, pools of water, rain
running off a roof) are top notch. You're character has a great set of moves
and controls great. Sound effects are clear and sound right out of Samurai
Shodown. The game can get monotonous (thus not quite reaching Drac X status)
because your limited to moving and fighting, no platforming or obstacles to
tackle. If you like ninja warrior or Shinobi III style gameplay this is a
very impressive game. If not, well it still rocks just not as much as Drac X
(IMO).

Another great game is Shibilman III for the turbo CD. I'd like to thank
Robert Otis for selling this game to me (in great shape), it's one of the best
and worst turbo games I've ever played on my Duo. The entire game has the
feel of a Treasure or early Neo- Geo game. The backgrounds are very nice and
change frequently and you met a variety of both wacky (giant snowmen, ghosts
that steal your batteries) and intimitating enemies (three legged crab boss).
The game does a great job at producing mock transpariences and yes, parallex
scrolling. Top this off with good music and very nice cinemas. The game
definitely doesn't seem like a regular Turbo CD (it is) as stages are long
with little loading in between and some of the enemies have great animation.

Unfortunately this is one of the easiest games I've played on the turbo. The
game has a large number of sub stages but as a whole is way too short, blame
this on difficulty. I beat it with a single continue the second time I
played it. Even on hard mode there is barely a challenge. Running through the
games stages you can go long distances in some areas without enemies to fight.
Using your sword's fireball attack you can take out most bosses with three or
less hits. The bosses themselves usually have idiotic attack patterns and
barely pose a threat, even the impressive last boss does little more than wave
it's arms at you or belch a occaisional flame. It's truly sad to see such a
great game with such horrible balance. *-neo
