This is going out to both lists. I am going to Japan again on May
15th (staying till June 1st). Last time I was there I met a Turbo fan who
owns a store in Madrid and didn't even realized he treid posting to this
List once until I was on the plane coming home.
Anyway, I know we have quite a few Listers in Japan and if anyone
hits Akihabara, let me know. I think it'd be really cool to hit some
shops or just talk Turbo or Japan or whatever. I will be spending quite
some time in Tokyo but will also be in Kyoto, Nara, and Osaka. Drop me a
line of you live there or plan on being around.
If nothing else, can anyone tell me how much has changed. Last time
I was there was before this whole used games ordeal became big. I did
some mad shopping in Medialand, SoftMap, and lots of other music and
electronics stores which carried video games.
As an aside for all of you Frequent flyers out there interested in
going to Japan:
1. Continental airlines is running a special. Cash in 25,000 miles
and go to Japan or Hong Kong free.
2. Delta is running a special to Japan from several US cities for
$450.
I think both are up by May 31st so if you've ever thought about it,
NOW would be a good time,
