Okay, maybe I was mistaken, but someone told me when I first bought mine
over ten years ago that all you have to do is to use the card once every six
months to keep the battery charged. Wait too long and the data 'expires', but
you can keep it 'active' as long as you 'turn it on' once every six
months. Was I told incorrectly? Because I lost all of my data, but am using it again and it
works perfectly still.
