I think Sega would have been much more careful during the launch of the
Saturn had the Genesis not succeded the way that it did over here. They
might have waited and scrapped the Sega CD and 32X machines in favor of
the Saturn, giving the Saturn an uncluttered playfield to work with. Also,
Sony might not have been a player had the SNES garnered more strength over
here.
This is some interesting discussions, wondering what might have been, and
what didn't happen. :)
