I'm only assuming the GT takes the same sort of power as the TE, which is a
very non-standard 7V.. I had the same problem, and even RadioShack's
selection of multi volt adapter's couldn't help.. finally, when I just
recently got a cheap power-supply-less Twin Famicom (7._6_ volts??) I bit
the bullet and got a Recoton brand multi volt adapter at Best Buy (in the
home theater section) because it had a 7.5 setting... this worked for the
Twin Fami but to my dismay not for the TE -- until I jacked it up to 9V...
so yeah, maybe I'm frying the TE to death? but it beats buying new AA's
every 2 hours.

Aside from that though, last time I checked TZD had official ones for like
$19.99 -- just far too cheap to blow 20 bucks on something that i can't use
for anything else..
