Tokyo Game Show

You'd think that, at the 2001 Tokyo Game Show, there wouldn't be any
Turbo/PCE related news to report.

You'd be wrong.

This year, the makers of Spriggan decided to set up a retro-gaming
booth, highlighting both Spriggan and Spriggan mark II -- both running on
gleaming white Duo-Rs (with their covers taped shut...)

You can see pictures at:

There's even a picture of me with Hudson's Bomberman!

Feel free to browse the entire /~joant/pics/tgs/ directory...though the
rest of it are pictures of Microsoft's incredibly flashy-but-no-substance
presentation of the XBox (all cute girls, no demos) and a few other random
"campaign girl" pictures.

Living in Japan sometimes reminds me of how much things have changed in
the U.S. for trade shows. Having been a booth bunny myself back in 1998,
and having hated the experience, I can only look at these women and wonder
how they feel at the end of the day....hopefully they enjoy the attention!
