The Arcade Card Pro works just fine on a Duo -- it's the same as
putting a Japanese system card in your Duo (with converter), it
just overrides the built in OS.
In fact the Arcade Card Pro is very nice for the few Japanese games
that won't run on a US Super System (v3.01).
