I think a part of the big problem was that NEC DID negotiate for
countless titles at the time and as Sega has proven a second time again,
they can't do this for everything. It defeats the whole purpose of
having a license model. NEC tried to do TOO MUCH in the way of getting
third party titles out with the NEC label, stretching their resources
thin, and at the same time they met with nothing but uncooperative
Japanese firms who didn't care if America saw their games or not. If it
was successful in Japan, that was enough to them.
