I have to agree with Dave on Konami's recent practices, outside PS2 and
Gameboy Advance Konami games have been lacking in quality. The old
Konami made quality games for all systems and made the games on the
strengths and weaknesses of the system. For example, Dracula X on
PC-Engine wasn't capable of the special effects that the SNES and
Genesis could muster. Instead Drac X succeeded with classic gameplaY
and the advantage of being on CD (many levels and detailed animation).
Their DC stuff was super poop. Little thought, mostly license, and
little creativity. Not the company I worshipped in my youth.
Any way with a near total buyout I hope they Hudson alone, the company
supports all platforms evenly and isn't afraid to try new genres and
games (unlike Beatmania XXI)
