Actually, Birthday developed Elemental Gimmick Gear, and Hudson just released
it under their label. In fact, I'm not so certain what exactly is
representative of "Hudson" (other than Bomberman), as they have released
games from many developers in the past...like Red, Westone, and
Interstate/Kaneko. However, during their best "quality" years, I always
thought they made good decisions (for the most part) about the games they did
release...and it was quite a diverse overall lineup (light years from what
Hudson has been producing over the last few years). It's really a shame
that once staples of the Hudson brand like PC Genjin and Adventure Island
have been left by the wayside (and does anyone wish to discuss their RPG
output in recent years?). A pitiful shame all around.
