Ys Voice Actor & Omake Con Update

Hi all,

I posted a few months back about an event we are working on here in
Virginia. Well, we've come a little ways farther and encountered a few
stumbling blocks I thought you listers might be able to help with. First
off, we have a name: Omake Con. We are trying to go with a very weighted
Video Game theme. All the guests we've solicited so far are notable names
in the video game industry. At present I am not able to disclose them, but
hopefully, we'll get some good feedback over the next few weeks. So here
are my questions for the list.

1.) One of the guests we are still trying to contact is a fellow name
Michael Bell. He's done voice acting in Icewind Dale and Fallout Tactics.
He also did the voices of Raziel in Soul Reaver and Gatz in Sword of the
Berserk. But more to the point of this list, he did the voice of Dark Fact
in Ys I for Turbo CD. I am hoping someone on this list knows a way we can
contact him for invitational purposes because presently we have found no
contact information for him. If anyone has this information or knows a way
we can get it, please contact me privately ASAP.

2.) We are looking for the Duo to have some sort of presence at our event.
Obviously, TTI no longer has any corporate presence in the USA. Anyone have
any idea who I'd contact? Should I just email the TZD people? I am of the
understanding that the people (person?) who run(s) TZD worked for TTI
and/or Hudson back in the day. Once again, any information on this subject
is appreciated.

3.) Finally, a call out to the list. If you are a game dealer, game
retailer, etc and are interested in working with us, be it as a dealer,
promoter, etc, email us. We have dealer's packets and other info ready to
go. If you are or have press contact within the game industry and wish to
know more about our event, let us know. There is no such thing as bad or
too little press. If you simply want to pre-reg for our event, we are now
accepting pre-regs and hotel reservations. All info can be found at
(www.omakecon.com). Feel free to send any replies concerning the above to
this email address.

To my knowledge, we are the first group to attempt a video game convention
by fans for fans and open to the general public. Obviously, we are not the
GNC or E3, but that is not our purpose. All the current shows, be it an EB
show, Babbage's show, or even the itself are created within the industry
itself and, generally speaking, open only to the industry. We are trying
to do something different. We are trying to host a show that promotes
fandom of the older systems as well as the newer age. We are trying to pull
off a show that perhaps does not have the corporate presence of the current
events, but still proves to be a successful game exhibition. With enough
support from the fans we can make it happen. Any and all interest,
questions, etc are appreciated.

Thank You For Your Interest and Support
