This is getting interesting....
Before i resond to below....
Dreamcast has been lowered to $79.99 NEW
You can find PS2's going on auction sites for $250 NEW
X-Box well....(LOL)
GameCube...most likely will gain added support at $200
>>As far as Sony goes, they'll get theirs when the
>>X-Box comes out. Who wouldn't develop for Microsoft?

I agree...
Although...one thing I like about Sony...the defective laser assemblys.
I had replaced 5-12 laser assemblys a month, due to their poor
quality.
>...Xbox is the bastard cousin of the PC...
LOL...X-Box is basically a pentium III computer in a neat looking case.
Did you hear their first problem? They designed this cute looking "X"
case...and when the developers were done with the "insides"...it didn't
fit IN the case....
>...I don't think Sony has much competition from

I couldn't agree more. When I tell my customers the "launch price" of
X-Box and GameCube...they side with Nintendo. $100 can be 2 games with
the GameCube. Now everyone is complaining the PSOne is MUCH slower loading
games...personally, I think that will hurt Sony's reputation also.
>I read once that the Xbox has already one HUGE
>bstacle to overcome, Mircosoft's reputation. If I
>do get an Xbox, I'll wait for Service Pack 3.
ROFL - thats the same thing I am telling ALL my customers. Windows 3.1
was so-so, then 3.11 came out. NT 3.51 and its service packs, NT 4 and
its service packs...Windows 95??? ROFL...95 orig sux, 95B was good, and
so was 95 with USB support, but no way to upgrade them. Windows 98?
Well, 2nd edition (came out a year or so later) is much better.
Windows 2000 got rid of DOS...but more stable. Then...who can
forget... WindowsME...the OS that crashes your computer and wastes your
time until you remove it, format your hard drive...and put Windows 98
back on it.
If they used the same "Microsoft Magic" in developing the X-Box...I
wonder what I'll be betting on...PSX, PS1, and PS2 with bad laser
assemblys (FMV problems), PS2 not playing many PSX games or many DVD's,
or X-Box asking you to set its "CMOS" every time you turn it
on...getting "BLUE SCREEN FATAL EXCEPTIONS"...or getting a virus, and
watching it crash.
I will definately miss Sega and the Dreamcast...and can only hope that
when the video game industry crashes...Sega will decide to release a
"next generation platoform" again. IMHO...Sega will gain grounds in
the video game industry just as a 3rd party developer. If they make
"good quality games" over the next 2-3 years...games that DEMAND good
sequels...maybe they can make a "Dreamcast 2" and bring their hot 3rd
party titles to the level of "Mario" "Crash Bandicoot" "Pokemon" and
alike.
