The Power Console exists in some number of quantities but AFAIK was never
officially released. I saw two or three on YahooJapan at one point. It
was supposed to be released simulataneously with the SG and Battle Ace but
was cancelled for some odd reason. I suspect the price since the thing
was gonna cost Y59800. Also, it was designed especially for use with
Battle Ace, but probably could be used on other PCE games. However,
judging at the ridiculous price for the set, (Y59800 for the stick, Y49800
for the SG and Y6500 for Battle Ace for a total of Y116100), there was no
way any casual gamer is gonna spend that much. I mean an LT cost less
NEW! So, if my memory serves, the yen rate back then was around
Y140-Y145=$1 so we're talking ~$830. I remember the day when I went to
the local game store just to see that thing. No stores in the area ever
got it... and I have never even seen the thing in person.

Also, to answer the person who wondered about the switch in the SG... I
believe it was put there in case there was a PCE game that wouldn't work
in SG mode. Basically the switched turned your SG into a PCE. AFAIK, all
PCE games work in SG "mode".

Man, those were the days. :)
