In terms of console collectibles, this deal created what is probably the
rarest prototype out there -- The 7th Guest for the SNES CD System.

While the CD system was still in development, Nintendo wanted to do a
"proof of concept" and ported sections of The 7th Guest to the
SNES. Because there was no CD drive yet to send out to media, selection
sections were put on very large EEPROM carts and sent out to editors.

This is the only "game" software that was ever coded for the
non-existant SNES CD System. Prototype software for a prototype system.
