for myself are..mainly JPN only one, sorry.
1. BubbleBobble(AC, windows9X)]
2. ZANAC(Famicom Disk system or NES, disk is better)
3. Legend of Valkyrie(AC, NAMCO, good atomosphere.)
4. Pocket monster(GB,GBC)
5. Pulseman
(JPN Megadrive, one of the best effects of MD.)
6. Linda^3(PCengine, PSX, SS, R-rated)
7. Tengai Makyou 2 Manji Maru
(PCengine,the Best Game of PCengine.)
8. Samurai Spirits(NEOGEO)
9. Super Mario Bros(Nintendo).
10 or minus one: Tokimeki Memorial and its marcketing.
(for its historical roles, I recommend the game.
It completely changed one marcket part of videogame.
Videogame start to consider its sub-sells ;by selling tons
amounts of fan-CDs, goods and even Tokimeki-funds.)
Runners Up; I love these following games as top 10 games.
Alien soldier
(Masterpeace of Megadrive, edge of "only 2D" Action.)
"Bazar de Gozar" no Game de gozar
(PCengine. Nice charactors. No one reject feeling CUTE! :)
Once you play, you'll burst into laugh over 1 hour.)
XEXEX(AC. Nice Grafic for 2D console)
Next King mileniam kingdom of love(PS and SS. SS is better)
(GAL Game with tons of ironical critics,
only one game which show love, "the stage of lassitude" and
the after all.)

I recommend the shooter as the edge of the 20th century.
