Re: Kid Dracula

I just picked up on this thread. Perhaps the original person asking about
Dracula Kid was wondering about a PCE version? Let me clear this up, as
there are two actual series of games here.

First, Red created a character based loosely on Dracula's son, and released
a PC-Engine game called "Makai Prince Dorabotchan", also called Kid Dracula
by those unable to translate Japanese. Naxat picked this character up and
a few years later used him in a SFC game "Dorabotchan". It was released
for the SNES as "The Twisted Tales of Spike McFang" (a fun game!).

Now, Konami also released for the Famicom (in 1990) a platform game
featuring the son of Dracula (or a young version of him) in a game called
"Boku Dracula Kun". It also came out for the GB, and the GB version came
out in North America as "Dracula Kid". Dracula Kun has also made cameos in
Konami's Parodius series of games.

So, we have two series of games, totally unrelated.
