- I might be tempted to believe this if we were talking about any other
company than Konami. As history has shown us, Konami has never licensed out
its products for other companies to distribute. If they don't release games
over here, they stay in Japan...period. Certainly, Turbo Technologies didn't
have any extra clout with Konami, as that company announced (at various
times) Gradius, Salamander, Detana Twinbee, Gradius II, and Snatcher...and
you never saw any of them make it to production (despite the ease in which
most could have been ported), did you? Sorry for being such a cynic, but
there is too much heresay floating around to believe anything that someone
says which seems contrary to an established norm. Official company
announcements are generally the only way to go, as most of the uncredited
crap coming from insiders in various companies usually proves to be untrue in
the long run. If this information could be found in an official interview of
some sort or release, then I'd be more inclined to jump on the wagon here.
Same goes for that belief that Mortal Kombat was shopped to Turbo
Technologies.
