I tried it out, and it seems to work fine.  Too bad it isn't a
"best-of-breed" game.  But I'll certainly be congratulating them some time
today.

I did find that I needed to extract the ISO from my own disc however, since
the image they referred to seemed to be corrupted (and differed
substantially from my extract).

The patch is intended for 2048-byte sectors, not the 2352-byte sectors that
include ECC and timing information.  Please pay attention to this detail -
I don't believe that it is listed anywhere.

If you have the original CD and any sort of burning software, it should be
easy enough to obtained the desired information.

(* Don't bother to ask me for a copy of the ISO; I will simply assume that
you don't have the proper materials and I won't give it to you. *)
