System card Questions... (oops)

Ok, so the first time I sent this I made a mess out of it! Sorry, here it
is again. Ohh, and the 2, 1 and 3 after the "CD-ROM" should be little if
you know what I mean, but are not.

Ok, now I was just thinking...

You need a Super System card or Duo to play Super CD games... but the
regular cd games require what? In the USA there is not question... TG16 CD
System card. (v 2.0 right?) but in Japan they released three versions. With
1.0 being first version, what really is the difference between it and 2.0
or 2.1? What is the difference between 2.0 and 2.1? If you have only a 1.0
card, can you play any CD-ROM2 System game? Come to think of it.. you know
how it says "CD-ROM2 System?" Was there ever a "CD-ROM1 System?" (wasn't
there a game released that used the first system card, and only works on it
due to compatibility problems?) And with the 4th card version... "Super
System card" why didn't they call it "CD-ROM3 System?"

I am by no means, and Turbo newbie... but I got to thinking about these
details, and realized that am confused. :)
