Hey List,
well, it practically made me late for work but i got IMPLODE today and i
had to pop it in and play one round (score- just under 33,000). here's what i
think.

the game plays very well and in some ways, it reminds me of Sega Swirl.
the music is very cool and definately sounds like it was composed in a
japanese dev. house. some tunes have a slight bombermanish feel to
them...bright, very electonic, and so on. the good thing is that the music
changes up often so you never get tired of any one tune.
the game gets much more addicting as more colors appear. in the
beginning, i think ony four colors are in play. as you advance though, you
get a good spread and the action does get fast. in the same way that bust a
move is hard to put down, so is this one. it's very addicting. if it were
cost efficient (which it isn't), this would also be a cool hu card for the
turbo express. as i'm getting ready to heaf into work, my sister (who only
plays puzzle games) is starting and says she'll have my score beat by the time
i come back...we'll see about that.
i have to say however that the most impressive part (and, seriously, kudos
for this) is the packaging. the disc has nice cover art on it. the outside
looks like any other duo game (with pink spine flag and all) and the BEST part
of all is the manual. the font and layout will remind you of a turbo grafx
game! i was thrilled to see that. only a fan and turbo gamer would have
thought of that and gone to the trouble of getting that into the packaging. i
wasn't expecting all of this.
all in all, very well done. $20 is easily worth it. hopefully, those of
you who don't have this will get it and hopefully we'll get another Mindrec
Turbo game. well done.
