The tooling costs to tool the plastic for the connector and then the 
tooling to
form the pins will cost about US$10K.  I have thought about doing this in a 
factory
in China, but I don't have any assurances that I can even begin to recoup the
cash outlay.

After the tooling is completed, It would actually cost less than $25 to get 
these into the country,
assuming that the shipment is around 5000 units.

If somebody is willing to collect and escrow the money and coordinate the many
potential customers of such a device, I would be willing to do the project 
to make
these.   I think a minimum of 2500 units need to be made to make this a 
reality.
