Hello List....
As most of you know, about 10 weeks ago I released a new SCD
game for the PCEngine and Turbo Duo systems. In that time, I
have been surprised by the number of copies of the game that have
sold (to date the number is under 250 copies sold retail).
I am trying ot figure out why the number is low. In speaking with
persons, everyone wants new games to be developed, yet few are
willing to shell out $20 for a new CD based game (3 games, actually).
So, I am interested in knowing why sales have been poor. I am not
expecting every person to respond to this message, but I am asking for
those of you interested to either 1) drop me a note; or 2) use the
'COntact Us' form on MindRec.com to let me know your thoughts on
Implode. Was the price too expensive? Game genre not your forte?
Graphics not up to par for you? Other?
I am interested in this information to determine whether it is worth
the time, effort and cash to make additional games for the PCE (at the
current pace, the answer is sqarely "No"). Those of you who did purchase
Implode are also welcome to give feedback on what you would like to see
in future PCE games (if they will ever see the light of day).
If you are not familiar with "Implode" you can find info at
http://MindRec.com as well (under the PCE section, or the direct link
on the front page).
Thanks for your input,
