Re: the return of DRAGONSLAYER?!

I've heard some people say that the entire Dragonslayer and Xanadu series
are linked, but I've never been able to figure that out. I think it goes
like this ...
1.) Dragonslayer (MSX game, also get it on Saturn Falcom Classics 1)
2.) Xanadu (MSX and Falcom Classics 1)
3.) Legacy of the Wizard (NES)
4.) Faxanadu (NES)
5.) Sorcerian (PCE or American PC/3.5" Floppies. There's also a remake on
DC.)
6.) Dragonslayer: LoH
7.) Dragonslayer: LoH 2
8.) Legend of Xanadu
9.) Legend of Xanadu II

But then there were also some other Xanadu/Dragonslayer games released for
MSX in japan. I think at least one of them came over to the states retitled
Legacy of the Wizard.
I suppose if you can read all that Kanji and play thru all of them there is
some connection. This was all years ago on the list, but I remeber someone
saying that the ending of Legend of Xanadu II brings the whole series
together... who knows ...

Actually, now that I think more about it, there used to be a guy on this
list who knew all about that kind of stuff. Had a really nice website out of
LSU or somewhere down south, even wrote for Game-Go Magazine for the one
month it lasted. There were some flame wars on this list ayear or two ago
and most of the veteran listes unsubscribed in disgust. I think he was one
of them. HIs screen name was very Asian-esque, like Shin-san or something.
Wish I could tell you more, but I really can't remember. If you could track
him down, I'm sure he could answer the question better than I. (Oh, and to
answer the thread that was running a while ago, I've been on the list since
late late '96 I think.)
