Re: While in Japan

I live in Japan. Okinawa to be exact. It's kinda a long story how I
ended up here, but basically I managed to get a contracting job here.
Okinawa is a nice place. Although Okinawa is part of Japan, it's really
not anything you'd expect if you know anything about Japan. For example,
there's no train or subway here. A monorail just opened, but it's only
around the capital city. Okinawa, while crowded, is a very laid back
place. Also, it's a very small island. You'll have to take a plane to
go to anywhere else in Japan, which is an inconvinence.

Anyway, to keep this related to the list... it's getting harder and
harder to find PCE stuff here (Okinawa). A nice thing though is
everything I have found has been very cheap (< Y1000, avg. Y600).
Although there's nothing particular rare, there's a number of stuff I
didn't have before. I probably picked up around 100 games since the
beginning of this year. I guess that's pretty good considering the
limited selection.

Due to the 20th anniversary of Famicon, I've been getting back into that
system too. It's super easy to find Famicon and SFC games and cheap for
the most part.

So, if anybody is planning to come to Okinawa, I'd be happy to show people
around. I know a lot of game stores, anime, clubs, etc.
