re: favorite hucard

Man... like most of you, I find this to be a tough one. The first TG16
I played was at my aunt and uncle's house... First TG16 game I ever played was
Vigilante, and it was also the first one I beat... I still enjoy the game, but
I wouldn't call it a favorite by any stretch of the term. World Class Baseball
is another game I really like alot (I saw at least one other guy admit
to this - I'M NOT ALONE!) :> Currently, Neutopia has got my playing time. I
got
the game about 6 months ago, but haven't had the time to play it until now. I
never got
into the Zelda series of games as a kid (always liked shooters, Mario-esque
platforms, and video pinball games), and I'm finding myself enjoying it
immensely.. And, if I had to pick the one game that drew me into the TG16, it
would have to be Keith Courage - specifically the first underground scene with
the awesome music, the blinking graphics as Keith dons his armor... that drew
me in big-time... But if I had to name the game that hooked me... and got me
coming back 10 years later after I discovered Magic Engine and rediscovered my
long-lost love (my aunt and uncle sold their TG16 at a yardsale years before -
without even offering it to me first!).. Well.. It would have to be Legendary
Axe... The first one. The gameplay is awesome, the music gets stuck in my head
for days - especially from the 2nd level, the blue underground one... The
graphics in the game is the height of "16"-bit glory... And even though I've
NEVER managed to beat it, I still love the game, and still play it when I need
a fix... Sure I've got Blazing Lazers, Splatterhouse, Bomberman and
'94, Bonk's Revenge, SF2: CE, Dracula-X, and Sapphire... but man... Those
games just pass
the time until I get the craving to hear that music in the caverns in
Legendary Axe.. For me, that's the ultimate game......
